Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of an alpine landscape in the mountains of Bavaria, Switzerland, or Italy). In the foreground, a rushing river flows away from the viewer in the lower left corner, at the base of a steep and lightly wooded mountain slope at right. Similarly steep mountainsides, covered in conifer trees, overlap one another as they recede into the background, where one heavily wooded peak is visible beneath a warm, overcast sky.
