Summary
The lunar module active docking target is a collapsible target which is mounted in the right Command Module rendezvous window for use of the astronauts in the Lunar Module during rendezvous operations. This adapter support strut is removable, fits into a slot in the base of the docking target, and is stowed separately and attached to the target prior to installation in the spacecraft window. It was flown and used during the Apollo 11 mission and transferred to the Smithsonian in 1970.
