Description
This Great Americans Issue stamp depicts Pearl Sydenstricker Buck, also known as Sai Zhenzhu. She was a writer, novelist and Nobel Prize Laureate. She was the first American woman to receive a Pulitzer Prize for Literature. She wrote about a variety of topics including women's rights, Asian cultures, China, immigration, adoption and missionary work.
