    Description

    One of a pair of large blue and white dishes, Kangxi period, each freely painted in the central roundel with a pair of warriors on horseback and two foot soldiers bearing flags in simple landscape of rockwork and a single tree, the rim with six petal-shaped panels, each filled with boldly painted warrior on a galloping horse with a foot soldier following close behind and with alternating diaper between panels, the reverse with flower sprays above a large ruyi head, the base with six character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue.
