    5 piece fancy dress ensemble
    SKIRT: Red cotton with satin ribbon and white lace trim; full, circular shape with three ruffled tiers trimmed with rows of ribbon and edged with lace; first tier has cream, blue, and yellow/red ribbon, second tier has yellow, green, and blue/yellow ribbon, third tier has cream, green/white, and blue/red ribbon; top quarter of skirt is plain; waistband with attached red cotton sash at center back; sash is pleated at waist and turned under at ends to form a point; center back zipper; unlined.
    BLOUSE: Cream embroidered cotton eyelet with cream cotton eyelet and red ribbon trim; band collar; princess seams; red satin ribbon and eyelet trim woven with red satin ribbon form a V shape on front and back; three small red decorative buttons at center front neck; short, puff sleeves; collar and sleeves trimmed with eyelet woven with red ribbon; center back zipper and hook and eye; unlined.
    PETTICOAT: White cotton with pink ribbon and white lace; wide full skirt with ruffled bottom edged with lace; lace woven with pink ribbon trim on ruffle; elastic gathered waist; unlined.
    BLOOMERS (pantaloneras): White cotton with three tiers of white lace at knees; elastic waist and cuffs; tapered leg; unlined.
    HAIR CLIP: Red cotton with cream, blue, and yellow ribbon trim and white lace edging; bow with four loops; silvertone metal commercially purchased bar barrette; bow attached with grey wire and yellow ribbon.
    This ensemble was acquired as part of the museum's Latino Clothing and Identity Project, which ran from 2008-2009.
