Description

This Gettysburg Address Issue stamp features an image of President Abraham Lincoln, a quotation from the Gettysburg address and a torch. The stamp commemorates the 85th anniversary of President Lincoln’s address for the Soldiers’ National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Battle of Gettysburg ended with a Union victory over the Confederate forces and was a turning point to the Civil War.
