Update Dec. 22: Smithsonian Statement on Government Shutdown

While the U.S. federal government is partially closed, all Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo are currently operating under normal business hours and will remain open through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Smithsonian museums are always closed on Dec. 25. The Smithsonian can use prior-year funds to remain open to the public.
