Wayne Clough is the 12th Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, leading the world’s largest museum and research complex with 19 museums, nine research centers, the National Zoo and research activities in more than 90 countries.

Smithsonian Secretary Announces Plan to Retire

El Secretario Wayne Clough ha anunciado hoy que se retirará de su cargo en el Smithsonian en octubre del 2014, después de haber servido más de seis años al frente de la Institución. Clough se unió al Smithsonian en julio del 2008 para remplazar al Secretario interino Cristián Samper. Antes de llegar al Smithsonian, Clough fue presidente del Georgia Institute of Technology durante 14 años.
