Tribute to Mark Tobey
June 7, 1974 – September 8, 1974
In one of its major exhibitions of 1974, NCFA will honor 84-year-old Mark Tobey, "the grand old man of American painting". The 70 paintings to be shown are being loaned by 26 institutions and individuals, and include Sagittarius Red, a larger than 6 x 12 foot canvas, considered his lifetime masterpiece.
