Enjoy a Steuben Glass retrospective with some 100 pieces featuring work done under Steuben's two long-time directors, Frederick Carder and Arthur A. Houghton. Included are Aurene, Millefiori, and Intarsia glass developed by Carder as well as limited edition and presentation pieces made under the direction of Houghton; in the latter category are the "Great Ring of Canada", on loan from the Canadian government, and a replica of the "Merry-Go-Round Bowl" given by the Trumans as a wedding gift to Queen Elizabeth II.
A traveling exhibit organized by the Toledo Museum of Art, it will leave the Smithsonian to continue a two-year tour of major museums in the U.S. and Canada.
