This exhibition features 99 winning art designs that were actually issued as postage stamps submitted to the "Stampin' the Future" contest by children ages 8-12 from nearly 30 countries. Sponsored by the United States Postal Service in 1998, the contest invited children worldwide to enter designs based on their dreams, hopes, and visions of the 21st century. The 99 talented winners were selected from a group of nearly 4 million participants worldwide, with 120,000 in the United States alone. The 4 winning U.S. designs were issued as stamps in July 2000.
