Robert Motherwell: A Centennial Celebration

This exhibition, guest curated by the artist Tim Clifford, marks the 100-year anniversary of the birth of painter Robert Motherwell (1915-1991), through letters, photographs, and rare printed material from collections in the Archives of American Art. Clifford co-authored, with Jack Flam and Katy Rogers, Robert Motherwell: 100 Years (Skira, 2015) and Robert Motherwell, Paintings and Collages: A Catalogue Raisonné, 1941-1991 (Yale University Press, 2012), and was Chief Researcher on the Dedalus Foundation’s Motherwell Catalogue Raisonné Project.
