In a variety of multimedia works created over the last 15 years—mapping the absent Indian of New York in No York (1997), projecting a video about industrialization on white turkey feathers in Mespat (2001), watching the activity near a nuclear power plant in Twilight, Indian Point (2003)—Michelson's work focuses on both the city and state of New York and reveals his continuing interest in history and origins.
