This case addresses the NASA's Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) mission to provide the first comprehensive study of an asteroid and features models; photographs; asteroid and meteorite specimens; animated footage of the asteroid 433 Eros—the focus of the mission—and the spacecraft orbiting it.
