Over the next two weeks, approximately 20 Tibetan monks will create a 7' x 7' sand mandala as a healing response to the events of Sept. 11, 2001. On the first day, an elaborate ceremony will take place at approximately 12 noon. On the last day, a special closing ceremony will take place at approximately 2 PM.

Entrance is on a first-come, first-served basis. The monks will then travel to Washington, D.C. where, from January 11-27,2002, they will create another sand mandala at the Sackler Gallery of Art.
