On view are photographs taken by Idris Rheubottom, Tony Craig, and Cybelle Codish during the production of Billy Luther's (Navajo/Hopi/Laguna Pueblo) documentary Grab, which follows families preparing for of the little-documented tradition of Grab Day. In this annual tradition in the villages of the Laguna Pueblo, water and food items are thrown from a rooftop to people standing below. A community-wide prayer of abundance, thanks, and renewal, Grab Day exists at the intersection of traditional Native and contemporary Western cultures. The documentary Grab is an official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
