Baseball Legend Jackie Robinson's Jersey

On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson made his major league baseball debut as the first African American to play in the league, breaking the long-standing color barrier in the sport. Predating the civil rights movement, the integration had much greater implications beyond the field, serving as a model for integration in all areas of American life.
Baseball legend Robinson’s jersey is on display in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Robinson integrating Major League Baseball.
