On view are 145 paintings and graphics as well as 21 examples of complementary decorative art. Most have never been shown in the West.

Artists included are Venetsianov, Fedotov, Schedrin and Bruillov. Works are from the collections of the State Museum and the Hermitage Museum, Leningrad, the Tretiakov Museum, Moscow, and the Kiev Museum of Russian Art.

Organized by the University of Minnesota Gallery, the travelling exhibition is closing its nation-wide tour at the Renwick.
