Visit 53 paintings and graphics presenting a select range of works by American artists based on specific poems, American and foreign. Artists include Jim Dine, Larry Rivers, Ed Colker, June Wayne, Andy Stasik, Stanton MacDonald-Wright; poets or poetry include Kenneth Koch, Frank O'Hara, Celtic chang, John Donne and haiku. Kenneth Patchen's silkscreen 'picture poems' are also on view.

The exhibit is part of a city-wide festival of poetry and its relation to the visual arts.
