Galleries on the museum’s third floor where modern and contemporary artworks are displayed, including the Lincoln Gallery, temporarily closed to the public on July 12, 2021, to make way for new artworks and new stories. The refreshed galleries are expected to reopen in 2022.
On view is modern and contemporary art, including works from Color Field, Abstract Expressionism, and Pop Art and 20th-century paintings by such artists as Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, and Helen Frankenthaler.
