For the first time in nearly 20 years, NZP again has an exhibition of American plains bison: two 1,500-pound females, aged 13 and 18 years, each sporting shaggy manes and curved horns characteristic of mature bison. When NZP was established in 1889, bison made up one of its first exhibitions and were then on view continuously until 1965.
