The Shiloh Q.M. of Free Will Baptist Churches, have resolved to establish an Institution of Learning near Berlin, Jackson County, Ohio, to be known as Randall Academy. The object of this Institution is to give all who will avail themselves of its facilities, a thorough Academic education, free from those odious and heathenish distinctions made in most of the Institutions of our country on account of caste, sex [[strikethrough]] [?]] [/strikethrough]] The location is pleasant and healthful, easy of access, being on the Portsmouth Branch of the M. & C. Railroad, and in a moral and enterprising community. School will commence as soon as the proper arrangements can be made.
James E. Stewart, General Agent, will give his attention to raising funds for this enterprise, assisted by such sub-agents as may from time to time be appointed. Money can be sent to John T. Stewart, Treasurer, Berlin Roads, Jackson County, Ohio.
The building will be out of brick, the dimensions and finish will depend upon the amount of contributions received. This being the only Institution of the kind in Southern Ohio, it is hoped that it will be liberally patronized both in money and students, by a liberty loving public.
The Trustees are considering the propriety of establishing a manual labor department.
