S.124. F.B.S.M. 67 Columbus, Miss., May 28" 1867. Sprague, W.G. Lieut. Sub-Asst Commr Sub-Dist Columbus Requests information as to whether Government will pay for hauling rations that are to be distributed to destitutes, from the Railroads to the place of destination, the distance being sometimes thirty miles Bureau R.F. & A.L. Office Asst Commissioner Vicksburg, May 30" 67. Respectfully returned to Lieut W.G. Sprague, S.A.C. Sub Dist Columbus. Upon proper Vouchers the payment for transporting Subsistence Stores for destitutes will be ordered paid. By order of the Asst Commissioner A.W. Preston Bvt Maj & A.A.A.G. EB 403 1867 G-32-F.B.D.C. 1867 Bureau RF & AL Office Asst. Comr. Vicksburg May 30th 1867 Gillem A.C. Maj. Genl by Major A W Preston AAA Genl. B.R.F & AL Returns letter of May 28th from this Office with information, that upon proper Vouchers for [[strikethrough]] payment of [[/strikethrough]] transporting subsistence stores for destitutes the claim will be ordered paid Recd FBDC June 1st 1867
