Say Hello From Smithsonian Libraries

September 13, 2020
Goldfish Card

“Goldfish (Carassius auratus)” from New York (State) Forest, Fish and Game Commission’s Annual Report (1902)

Brighten someone’s day: create a postcard using images from Smithsonian Libraries. Nine designs are available, ranging from this vibrant goldfish to a dinosaur skull to Kittie Knox with her bicycle. Postcards can be sent by filling them out directly on a computer or smart phone and emailing them, or they can be printed and sent by postal mail.

Images are taken from books in the Libraries’ collection. Explore more images at Libraries’ Image Gallery or search the Smithsonian’s Open Access collections to download high-res images and make your own.

For information on creating and sending your postcard, visit Smithsonian Libraries.
